The Family Therapy Center has a long history of service to people affected by trauma and disasters, natural or man-made. Our students and faculty have been involved in services for survivors of 9/11, relief training efforts in Indonesia for the victims of the Great Tsunami of 2004, as well as in counseling for past local incidents. We are therefore offering free therapy services to members of the University community, including partners and families, for any concerns related to the April 16th shootings or their aftermath. Simply call us at 23-7201 to make an appointment. As always, for all our regular clients, our low sliding scale fees will remain in effect.
Additionally, for groups or organizations that wish support or information about what to expect and how to cope in the coming months, we will be happy to arrange educational sessions or programs, either directly or in coordination with Cook Counseling Center. Please let us know how we can assist you.
